A strategic location is essential for Varekamp's fresh produce logistics, as is the presence of other companies in the agri & food sector.

It was Ben Varekamp who founded Varekamp in 1953. Varekamp joined the Van Rijn Group in 1993. Since 2013 it has been part of the Kloosterboer Groep; a powerful group with more than 14 branches in Europe. Varekamp has been located at the abc westland business park since 2001, with a 25-minute drive from the port of Rotterdam and 45 minutes from Schiphol Airport and surrounded by companies in the agri & food sector. Varekamp has 28 cold stores with approximately 7,000 pallet positions, each with its own parameters. With 13,000 m2 and 20 docks, Varekamp is a major tenant at abc westland.
